Who we are
miniwebdesigns (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a web design studio based at Kārsavas iela 39, Latgales priekšpilsēta, Rīga, LV-1082, Latvia. This policy explains what personal data we collect through miniwebdesigns.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Contact for any privacy question or request: support@miniwebdesigns.com.
What we collect
We collect only what's needed to reply to you, deliver a project, or process an order:
- Contact details — name, email address, and phone number, when you submit the enquiry form or complete a checkout.
- Billing details — company name, billing address, and (if you provide one) an EU VAT number, when you place an order.
- Project information — anything you tell us about your project in the enquiry form or the checkout's project-details step, such as your target launch window or an existing site URL.
- Order and cart data — the packages you've added to your cart, stored in your browser (
localStorage) so your cart survives a reload; order details, once placed, stored locally on your device and used to generate your order reference and confirmation. - Analytics data — only if you consent to it (see “Cookies and analytics” below): pages visited, general location (country/city level), device type, and how you arrived at the site, via Google Analytics 4.
We do not collect payment card details. The checkout on this site is a demonstration flow — see Terms of Service for what that means in practice.
Why we use it, and the legal basis
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to an enquiry | Name, email, phone, project details | Legitimate interest / steps prior to a contract |
| Processing and delivering an order | Name, email, phone, billing address, VAT number, project details | Performance of a contract |
| Invoicing and accounting | Billing details, order value | Legal obligation |
| Understanding site usage, if you consent | Analytics data | Consent |
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, the hosting provider for this website, and (only with your consent) Google Analytics 4 for site analytics.
- Where the law requires it — for example, a tax authority in connection with invoicing.
We do not share your data with any advertising or marketing network.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It is consent-gated: the Analytics script does not load, and no analytics cookie is set, until you actively opt in via the cookie banner or the cookie preferences panel. See the Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies and storage this site uses, and how to change your choice at any time.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry-form submissions that don't lead to a project are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Order and invoicing records are kept for as long as Latvian accounting law requires business records to be retained.
- Analytics data, if you've consented, is retained per Google Analytics 4's standard retention settings and can be reset at any time by withdrawing consent.
- Cart data stored in your browser is cleared when you clear your browser storage, or automatically once an order tied to it is completed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct it, if it's inaccurate.
- Delete it, where we're not required to keep it (for example, for invoicing).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive a copy of the data you provided, in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time, with no effect on any contract already in place.
To exercise any of these, email support@miniwebdesigns.com. We'll respond within the timeframe required by law. If you believe we've mishandled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with Latvia's Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be reflected here directly — there's no separate notification list, since we don't hold one.
